The preface is written by Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung, the Abbot of the Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. In addition, the introduction is written by noted Tibetan scholar Dr. Charles Ramble, the Professor of Tibetan history and philology at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, France.
